Q: Who can stay at Ronald McDonald House?
A: Everyone!
We’re located at 1133 Tower Road in Halifax— just a five minute walk from the IWK Health Centre.
We support families traveling more than 40km for their child’s medical care, regardless of their diagnosis, income, or length of stay. Individuals experiencing high-risk pregnancies are also eligible to stay.
No family is ever turned away due to an inability to pay. For those that can, families are asked to contribute $11 per night.

It is for entire families to use, allowing them to keep their lives moving forward as normally as possible – despite the challenges that they face.
Our Family Room in Halifax
Whether it’s a cup of coffee, a shower, a hot meal or a load of laundry, our Family Room is a place for families to relax, refresh and recharge. The Halifax Family Room includes 3 overnight sleeping rooms, kitchen and laundry facilities, a play area, a comfortable lounge, and much more.
Our Family Room in Moncton
In 2011, we opened a Ronald McDonald Family Room in partnership with The Moncton Hospital. Our Moncton Family Room offers a comfortable and supportive space for families to take a break from their daily hospital routine while enjoying some of the familiar comforts of home.
