A special day for the Guignards!

Along with our Valentine’s Day (which we LOVE to celebrate at Ronald McDonald House), this Feb 14th marked a special milestone for one of our RMHC families. Here’s a quick note from Julie Guignard of Bathurst, New Brunwick:

“We really can’t believe it’s been two years since our son, Dylan, received the gift of life – new bone marrow. Wow!

During that time, the ‘unknown’ was always at the surface. We felt so scared, worried, and anxious. But today, we are feeling proud, blessed and so relieved!

Today, Dylan is thriving in his health and at school, and our visits to the IWK for follow-ups have been reduced to once every six months. Yes, he still gets tired and has low energy from time-to-time, but that’s to be expected.

Dylan got a second chance at life, and we’re running with it!”
– Julie Guignard

Sincere thanks to Julie and her family for sharing this very exciting news with us, and for everything that her family has done to help spread the word about what we do here at RMHC Atlantic!

And, thank you to YOU, our incredible volunteers, donors and supporters, who have helped families like Dylan’s when they’ve needed it most.
