Easter Family Fun!
It was a fun-filled Easter weekend at Ronald McDonald House Charities® Atlantic as families enjoyed spring crafts, delicious meals, and even a visit from the Easter Bunny!
On Saturday, families staying at Ronald McDonald House® were treated to an Easter brunch of cheese frittata, home fries, bacon and fresh fruit prepared by McInnes Cooper. The festivities continued on Sunday morning when the House had a very special visit from the Easter Bunny who set up an Easter egg hunt for our families compliments of the family and friends of Nicki Bucci. Easter Sunday was capped off with a turkey dinner with all the trimmings provided by Jennifer Lewandowski and friends. Monday held one final Easter surprise for our families as they woke up to a bag of treats and toys left by the Easter Bunny.
At the Halifax Family Room, an Easter basket weaving session took place on Good Friday which was the perfect craft for gathering chocolate eggs over the weekend. On Saturday, a tasty pancake brunch was prepared by our Family Room volunteers and on Easter Sunday, a turkey dinner was delivered to the Family Room. At the Moncton Family Room, a ham and scalloped potato dinner was prepared by the LeBlanc Family on Saturday evening for families missing a home cooked meal.
More than 80 people at our House and Family Rooms enjoyed meals and activities over the course of the weekend. Our incredible volunteers and Home for Dinner groups did all they could to make this weekend feel as close to Easter at home for our families as possible. There was plenty of fun (and chocolate) had by all!
